05 EXIT “Exit” is a heavily painted piece much like old church glass used to be painted. It is not paint as you would normally think of paint, but rather it is crushed glass and iron oxide. This is mixed with water, applied, and then fired in a kiln. It is then permanent. The frame is painted too, but with automobile silver paint. © James B. Furman
